Medusa II makes the journey to its free spins a contest with a clock. Three Soul Stones are required, but the Blue Meter can run down and clear an incomplete collection. Once the battle begins, ten free spins are awarded and Medusa starts with 800 health points. A guaranteed 40-point attack each spin is only the baseline: weapon wins add damage, while Wilds can turn reels to stone and later into held Stacked Wilds. This is not a simple three-Scatter trigger followed by an unchanged bonus grid.

The main game’s temporary collection
The five-reel, three-row game has thirty lines. Ordinary Wilds appear on reels two, three or four and substitute for all symbols except Stacked Wilds; Stacked Wilds substitute for all. In the main game, one to three Stone Reels may cover whole reels. Each can reveal a Soul Stone or a Blue Potion, subject to the stated limit of two stones or one potion in this feature, before an ordinary symbol is shown on each stone reel. Three Pots can also appear, and the player picks one. Its possible reveals are a Soul Stone, Blue Potion, a cash prize of one to five times the triggering bet, or a respin after the main win is paid.
These routes feed the same Soul Stone collection, but it is not permanent. The Blue Meter shows games remaining, with at most twelve cells and one cell corresponding to one game. A potion adds three cells, capped at twelve. If the meter reaches zero at the end of a main-game spin, any collected stones are removed and the meter refills. Medusa may also appear and destroy a stone on a no-win spin. With a win but no listed weapon-symbol win she cannot destroy one; with a Helmet, Shield, Torch, Mace or Dagger win, Perseus instead attacks and gains a stone. This produces a real tension between accumulating the third stone and keeping the collection alive long enough to use it.
Ten spins to empty the life bar
Three Soul Stones start ten free spins. Medusa begins at 800 HP, and Perseus removes 40 HP on every free spin. At that baseline, ten spins account for only 400 HP, so the automatic attacks alone cannot defeat her within the initial round. Wins with the five named weapon symbols add damage based on their paytable values and a variable that increases after free spins three, six and eight. Those extra attacks are therefore central to earning the optional extension, not just decorative animation. Defeating Medusa within the first ten free spins adds five more; the rules do not promise that defeat or those extra spins for every trigger.
Wilds introduce another timeline. When at least one appears during a free spin, Medusa turns its reel or reels to stone and holds them on the next free spin. Subsequently those held reels change to Stacked Wilds, held for three free spins. The benefit is delayed, so a Wild sighting and a full stacked reel are not simultaneous rewards. After Medusa is defeated, Perseus’s shield may add one, two, three, five, seven or nine Wild symbols at random positions on reels two through four on each subsequent free spin. That post-defeat effect is conditional on winning the battle, and the exact count is revealed during the spin rather than chosen by the player. Fortune of Olympus offers a Greek-mythology comparison, but its persistent multipliers should not be read into this stone-to-Wild sequence.
The profile behind the story
The exact English rules state 94.96% theoretical RTP, medium session volatility and a 2,000x advertised maximum; the official catalog dates Medusa II to 20 March 2018. The detailed table also distinguishes return allocated to main play and to free spins, underscoring that the two phases are linked without making every collection successful. These published values are not a forecast of any one battle. The useful player-facing question is more concrete: can the meter preserve stones long enough to trigger the feature, and can weapon wins deliver enough additional damage before spin ten?
Strengths and weak points
Strengths
The Soul Stone timer gives main-game events a purpose, and weapon payouts genuinely interact with the free-spin battle. Wilds can become held stacked reels.
Weaknesses
The meter can erase partial progress, while Medusa can destroy a stone on a no-win spin. Five extra spins require an actual defeat, not merely a trigger.
Our Editor’s View
Medusa II’s strongest idea is that the free-spin round has an objective beyond collecting payouts. Baseline attacks cannot empty Medusa’s 800 HP within ten spins, so weapon wins are necessary for the five-spin extension. The main-game Blue Meter can also end a partial stone collection. It is a good fit for readers who like linked stages and a conditional battle outcome, but the advertised maximum and extra spins should be treated as ceilings or possibilities, never expectations for each trigger.
