Fire my Laser Slot Review: Cascading Bombs and Shields

Fire my Laser slot artwork

Fire my Laser replaces a conventional winning-line sequence with a chain of destructive effects. Bombs and lasers remove grid symbols, pay for paying symbols they destroy, and trigger cascades; they can also activate one another. Blue Shields add a hit counter to multipliers and free-spin symbols, so a blast may contribute to progress without activating the prize immediately.

Main featuresBombs, lasers and orbital strikes destroy symbols in ordered cascades; shields gate multiplier and FS activation, while Alien Attack and Extermination use different progressive multiplier timing.

RTP and stake limits can vary by version and market. Check the information screen in the game you open. Maximum win is a ceiling, not an expected result.

Blasts resolve in a defined order

Bombs and Lasers activate in a random order described as bottom-to-top and right-to-left. A blast can activate another device, but the grid settles before that device acts. Small Bombs clear a centred 3×3 area, Big Bombs 5×5. X-Lasers cut one-symbol-wide diagonals; Super Lasers widen them to three symbols and instantly destroy hit Shields.

Destroyed paying symbols add their paytable amounts to the Total Win Bar, paid at spin end. Remaining symbols drop and new ones enter from above; dead symbols pay nothing. After the grid settles and devices stop activating, Orbital Bombardment may strike three to seven positions in 2×2 areas centred on cell intersections. Multiple strikes are possible, and each can activate another device.

Shields determine when values become live

Multiplier and FS symbols may arrive shielded. A blue counter shows how many hits remain. Ordinary Bombs, Lasers and orbital strikes can chip the shield; a Super Laser destroys any shield caught in its effect at once. Multipliers need two or three hits. Two-hit values range from 2x to 10x; three-hit values range from 15x to 500x. Once activated, multiplier values are added together and applied to the collected win at spin end. The number is therefore not active merely because its symbol is visible: the shield must break first.

Both FS types need three hits, and only one FS symbol can land on the grid at a time. Breaking an Alien Mind symbol starts eight Alien Attack free spins. This mode keeps the base destruction rules, but stores activated multipliers in a Progressive Multiplier; it applies to a collected win on a spin when at least one new multiplier has joined the store. Breaking another Alien Mind during the feature awards two more spins.

Two bonus ledgers and missing settings

A Power Core FS symbol instead starts twelve Extermination free spins. It retains the base mechanics but uses a Progressive Global Multiplier that remains active and applies to the collected win at the end of every spin. Breaking a Power Core during the bonus adds two spins. The distinction is consequential: Alien Attack’s stored multiplier applies only on a spin that adds to its store, while Extermination’s global store applies every spin. Neither bonus removes the shield-hit requirement for its trigger.

The official page omits grid dimensions, line count, RTP, volatility, maximum win and release date. Alien Invaders is a published alien-themed contrast, though it does not use this cell-clearing system.

Strengths and weak points

Strengths

The settle-before-next-device rule makes chained destruction traceable, and shield counters show why a multiplier or bonus symbol is not live yet. The two progressive bonus ledgers have distinct stated payout timing.

Weaknesses

Dead symbols add no award, shields can require several hits, and only a Super Laser clears them instantly. Orbital strikes occur by chance after device resolution, so the chain has no guaranteed second phase.

Our Editor’s View

Fire my Laser is best followed as an ordered resolution rather than read as an ordinary slot with bombs added on top. Device activation, area removal, payout collection, settling and possible orbital strikes each affect what can trigger next. Shields create a separate progress layer, and the free-spin types split the multiplier ledger into a conditional per-spin application and an always-active global one. This precision is a strength for understanding cause and effect, but the published description leaves the game’s overall numerical profile unstated and offers no trigger probabilities. A reader can judge the timing and constraints from the rules, but should consult the running version’s paytable for its exact configuration.
