Diamond Blitz gives its Wilds a route through the grid. In the standard five-reel, four-row line game, a Wild locks where it lands, moves down one row after each spin, and disappears after passing below the bottom. Blitz Mode alters that movement: its five awarded spins push moving Wilds to the bottom or lowest available position, where they lock for the mode and each award an extra Blitz Spin. Figures that follow are limited to YesPlay’s published South African ZAR rules and should not be read as universal or default RTP and payout settings.

A Wild with a limited lifetime
The five-reel, four-row layout has 20 paylines. Wilds substitute for all paying symbols and stay on the board after landing, moving down one row after each spin. They disappear when they pass one position below the bottom row. A Wild’s height therefore indicates how much of its ordinary journey remains: a high landing has farther to travel, while one near the bottom is closer to leaving.
This movement changes which line routes a Wild can support on later spins. Its continued presence does not mean it stays in the same cell, so the position matters as much as the fact that a Wild remains visible. Several results can share the same travelling symbol while presenting different alignments. The basic reel dimensions and payline system stay fixed around that movement.
Blitz changes where Wilds settle
During Blitz Spins, moving Wilds shift to the bottom of the slot or to the lowest free position. When a Wild reaches that position, it locks there for the rest of the mode and awards one additional Blitz Spin. The bonus therefore turns a falling symbol into a positional collection: movement ends when a Wild settles at the lowest available point, and that settled Wild extends the feature by one spin. The number of additions depends on Wilds reaching those positions; five initial spins do not imply a fixed total.
When Blitz ends, the diamonds resume their ordinary descent one position per spin until they leave the slot. The feature therefore has a visible aftermath: locked symbols return to movement instead of disappearing together at the end of the counter. The same Wild has three stages to follow—ordinary descent, a locked Blitz position, then descent again—giving the bonus continuity with the base game.
YesPlay figures and trade-offs
YesPlay’s South African ZAR rules list approximately 95.75% RTP and a maximum multiplier of 560x. Its R2m, R5m and R10m payout columns give maximum stakes of R300, R500 and R1,000 and cash wins of R168,000, R280,000 and R560,000. Red Tiger lists 95.75% RTP, while Evolution lists 93.74%. The listings do not explain the difference. Red Tiger’s volatility index is 6.92, a numeric provider index rather than a verbal category, and is not asserted as the YesPlay configuration’s value.
Blitz develops an existing symbol rule rather than introducing an unrelated collection system. Reaching the lowest free position changes both occupancy and the spin counter, making the extension easy to recognise. The trade-off is a variable bonus length and the need to follow positions over time. Players who prefer every spin to begin with an entirely fresh board may find the travelling Wilds less immediate.
Regal Streak — Both are classic-style line games with bonus spins, but Diamond Blitz changes the position and lifetime of Wilds while Regal Streak advances a multiplier through wins involving a selected symbol.
Strengths and weak points
Strengths
Blitz meaningfully changes the Wilds’ movement, and each one reaching the lowest available space both locks it for the feature and adds a spin.
Weaknesses
The length of Blitz depends on Wilds settling at the lowest free positions, with no stated maximum extension or trigger probability; ordinary Wilds eventually leave.
Our Editor’s View
Diamond Blitz gives a simple grid an ongoing positional feature. Wilds descend through ordinary play, settle and lock during Blitz, then resume falling afterward. Each newly settled Wild also adds a Blitz Spin, tying the bonus counter directly to activity on the reels. The appeal lies in that continuity; its limitation is that the final bonus length depends on how many Wilds reach locking positions.
