Candy Burst Slot Review

Candy Burst slot artwork

Candy Burst turns a 6-by-6 sweet shop into a cluster game. Four matching symbols touching horizontally or vertically can pay, then disappear so new symbols fall into place. Larger groups create special sweets with distinct effects.

Clusters make room for another result

This is a six-row, six-column collapsing-reels game, not a numbered-payline slot. A group of at least four matching symbols that touch horizontally or vertically pays according to the paytable. Winning symbols explode after payment, symbols above them cascade down, and the game checks the new grid until no more winning group remains. Diagonal contact alone is not the stated matching rule. A single paid spin can therefore contain several evaluations, but a cascade only continues if the replacements form another eligible group. The 6-by-6 area gives room for multiple clusters without making any particular chain certain.

The size of a group also determines which special sweet is awarded after its win is paid. Five touching symbols can create a Gummy Rocket at a random position, six a Chocolate Bomb, and seven or more a Mystery Sweet. The position is not chosen by the player. A Rocket clears either its row or column, a Bomb clears surrounding symbols, and a Mystery Sweet chooses a symbol type at random and clears all instances on the reels. Those actions pay and can leave fresh gaps for more falling symbols. The exact symbol values still come from the paytable; clearing a large area should not be mistaken for a fixed cash prize.

Why combinations matter more than a single sweet

Adjacent special sweets can activate together. Two touching Rockets clear rows, columns and diagonals around their combination. A Rocket with a Bomb clears either three rows or three columns; a Bomb pair affects a 5-by-5 surrounding area. The Mystery Sweet combinations work differently: with a Rocket it clears a randomly chosen symbol type plus the pair’s row and column, while with a Bomb it clears a random type plus a diamond-shaped area. Two Mystery Sweets select three symbol types to clear. These are distinct effects, so the benefit of a pair depends on what remains on the grid and which symbols the random selection finds.

Three or more special symbols touching and activating together trigger Candy Burst: all regular symbols except Scatters and remaining special symbols explode and pay, then those wins receive x2. In free spins, Candy Burst Feature wins receive x10 under the stated rule. This is a specific feature multiplier, not permission to multiply x10 by every other headline value without checking the game’s calculation. The initial free-spin trigger is three Scatters anywhere for ten spins, with two additional spins for each further Scatter. Ordinary wins in free spins receive x2, and retriggers are possible. The distinction between general free-spin doubling and the Burst-specific x10 is central to reading the bonus.

Published limits and what the screen cannot promise

The English sheet lists 96.95% theoretical overall RTP, medium session volatility and a 15,000x advertised maximum. Its 0.42% free-spin-feature hit rate belongs to the published model, not an individual session. The maximum is a ceiling. Candy Burst’s attraction is the chain from cluster size to special sweet, then from touching specials to a larger clear and another possible cascade. Yet sweets appear at random positions, Mystery Sweet’s target is random, and a large group need not produce a pair.

Compare Sweet Burst for another candy game. Candy Burst’s identity is its three special sweets and their paired effects.

Strengths and weak points

Strengths

Cluster size has a clear mechanical consequence, awarding different special sweets; adjacent pairs then create distinct clear patterns that can feed the next cascade.

Weaknesses

Special sweets appear at random positions, and Mystery Sweet targets a random symbol. Large clears and the x10 Burst condition still depend on specific touching arrangements.

Our Editor’s View

Candy Burst rewards understanding its sequence. Four touching sweets win; larger clusters may produce Rockets, Bombs or Mystery Sweets, and touching specials can clear broader areas. The x2 Burst and x10 free-spin Burst rules matter only when their conditions occur. That gives the 6-by-6 game more variety than a plain collapse format, although random placement limits how often complex combinations align. Readers who enjoy watching one clear reshape the next grid have a reason to explore it; those seeking a straightforward line game will have more to track.
