Serpentico Smash Slot Review: Rules, Features and RTP

Serpentico Smash game artwork by Thunderkick

Serpentico Smash makes the weight of a winning symbol part of its cluster mechanics. Heavy symbols crush what lies below them, and that destruction fills a meter used to supply later Wilds. Crushed multiplier symbols affect a separate Global Multiplier. Free Spins preserve the two counters, turning the serpent’s jungle wall into a board where the location and type of what gets crushed both matter.

Heavy symbols clear below their positions

The board has five reels and six rows, with clusters of at least five matching symbols connected horizontally or vertically. Winning symbols and visible Scatters become heavy, crushing symbols below them on the same reel except other heavy symbols. Both the heavy and crushed symbols are removed for a Redrop. The process can continue when new wins or Scatters arrive, reshaping more than just the original winning cluster.

A symbol’s height therefore has a practical consequence: what lies beneath it can contribute to the destruction. This is a different rule from replacing a winning group without affecting neighbouring positions. It still leaves the next arrangement random. A large cleared area can supply more incoming icons while failing to create another useful cluster, so the animation’s scale is not a direct measure of the payout.

Destroyed material feeds delayed Wild placement

The Charge Meter needs thirty steps. A crushed ordinary symbol supplies one, while a crushed Wild supplies thirty. Completing a charge adds one to the Collected Wilds meter, capped at five. When no wins or Scatters remain and at least one Wild is banked, that meter places its accumulated Wilds on the grid. It then resets, while further crushing can continue filling the Charge Meter.

The Global Multiplier tracks something else: it increases when a multiplier symbol is crushed, with those symbol values ranging from 1x to 50x. All wins use the current Global Multiplier. Charge progress supplies substitutes; multiplier progress changes the value of qualifying wins. Keeping the two separate prevents a full meter from being mistaken for an automatic 50x award or a crushed multiplier from being counted as a guaranteed new Wild.

Free Spins preserve progress after an entry reset

Collecting three Eye Scatters activates ten Free Spins. The Global Multiplier and Charge Meter reset before the feature begins, then remain persistent throughout it. Another Scatter during the bonus adds one spin. This gives the bonus a continuing accumulation structure without carrying the entire triggering paid spin’s progress into it. A retained partial charge can help later progress, but the next milestone still needs the required destruction.

Thunderkick’s current card lists 94.18% RTP and high volatility; the confirmed maximum is 5,000x the stake. A Collected Wilds cap of five and multiplier-symbol values up to 50x describe individual systems rather than that final ceiling. The design is consequently best followed through three questions: which symbols became heavy, what their crushing contributed, and whether the resulting Wilds or multiplier helped a later qualifying cluster.

Strengths and weak points

Strengths

Crushing has a precise spatial rule and feeds two different systems. Bonus persistence preserves partial charge and Global Multiplier progress, giving earlier events a defined role in later spins.

Weaknesses

The Collected Wilds meter is capped at five, and placement waits until wins and Scatters stop. Bonus entry resets both counters, while later destruction still needs useful matching clusters.

Our Editor’s View

Serpentico Smash gives cascades a concrete change in cause and effect: heavy symbols remove what is beneath them, then the removed material can influence Wild supply or win multiplication. Its strength is making those systems distinct but connected, with Free Spins extending their lifetime. Its limitation is that substantial destruction may still leave an unhelpful arrangement, and the bonus resets progress before starting its own accumulation. It suits readers who enjoy tracking board physics and counters together, provided they distinguish banked Wilds, a partial charge and the Global Multiplier instead of treating them as one reward.
