King of the Party Slot Review: Rules, Features and RTP

King of the Party game artwork by Thunderkick

King of the Party uses its animal dance floor to host several routes into one win multiplier. Avalanche wins advance it, Overlay values on winning symbols add to it, and unused Wilds during Free Spins can absorb Overlays through an explosion. The bonus preserves the multiplier built on the triggering spin. Following where each addition comes from is the game’s main task, beneath the lion DJ and party setting.

Scatter Pays and Overlays build the current sequence

The game has six reels and five rows, paying for at least eight matching symbols anywhere on the board. Winning icons disappear for Avalanches, with replacements evaluated again. A win multiplier sits beneath the reels and advances through winning Avalanche activity. In ordinary play, it resets when the paid-spin sequence ends. More matching symbols can extend the sequence, but their location does not have to form a connected cluster.

Regular paying symbols can carry random Overlay Multiplier values. When those symbols form part of a win, their Overlay values are added to the win multiplier before payout. Addition is the relevant operation, rather than multiplying all displayed Overlays together. A marked symbol that is not involved in a qualifying win does not automatically make that contribution. Its visual presence and its activation are separate events.

The bonus carries the existing multiplier

Three, four, five or six gold-disc Bonus symbols award ten, fifteen, twenty or twenty-five Free Spins. The feature starts with the multiplier reached on the triggering paid spin and retains it between Free Spins. This differs from games that reset their accumulated modifier at bonus entry. Avalanche growth and winning Overlays can therefore add to a value whose useful lifetime now extends beyond one ordinary sequence.

Two through six Bonus symbols during the feature award three, five, seven, nine or eleven extra spins respectively. The lower two-symbol retrigger threshold is not the base-game entry rule. These extensions add time in which to use the retained multiplier, while the opening table determines the initial duration. A long allocation still needs qualifying symbol outcomes; keeping a multiplier does not itself create a paying set.

Unused Wilds can turn Overlays into retained progress

During Free Spins, a Wild that does not contribute to a winning Scatter Pay result explodes. It clears symbols from its row and reel except Scatters, producing another Avalanche. If that removal catches Overlay multipliers, their values are added to the win multiplier. The Wild therefore has two possible roles: substitute in a current win, or create a clearing effect when it has not been useful in that evaluation.

The current public card lists 94.32% RTP and high volatility, with a 5,000x stake ceiling. Where available, direct Free Spins entry costs 100x the bet and uses a separately stated return configuration. Its price purchases feature access, while the starting outcomes and subsequent Overlays remain random. The important design distinction is how an otherwise unused Wild can create further board activity and multiplier progress without guaranteeing a new winning set.

Strengths and weak points

Strengths

The bonus keeps the triggering multiplier and gives unused Wilds a second role. Clearing an Overlay can feed the same retained modifier, connecting explosion placement with longer-term progress.

Weaknesses

Overlays need a qualifying win or a bonus Wild explosion to contribute. A retained multiplier does not form matching sets, and ordinary sequences reset it when the paid round ends.

Our Editor’s View

King of the Party brings its features together through one accumulating modifier. Winning Overlays and unused-Wild explosions offer different ways to increase it, while Free Spins preserve the result. Its strength is that the bonus changes both persistence and the purpose of an unsuccessful Wild. Its limitation is that those routes still depend on the right symbols and positions, with no guaranteed continuation after a dramatic clearing effect. It suits readers who like a visible multiplier carrying through a feature, provided they follow additive Overlay values and distinguish the opening spin table from the lower-threshold retrigger table.
