Carnival Queen – Reborn Slot Review: Rules, Features and RTP

Carnival Queen – Reborn game artwork by Thunderkick

Carnival Queen Reborn brings its Mardi Gras parade to a six-reel game where every Avalanche can increase the next result’s multiplier. Its central attraction is continuity: a useful multiplier can carry into Free Spins and stay active throughout the bonus. The colourful presentation is easy to read, but the important detail is when a win is paid and when the multiplier increases. Those are successive steps, not one retroactive boost.

RTP and stake limits can vary by version and market. Check the information screen in the game you open. Maximum win is a ceiling, not an expected result.

A parade across 4,096 ways

The game uses six reels, giving 4,096 ways to form matching combinations from left to right. It does not ask you to pick individual paylines. A qualifying symbol combination must still continue across the required adjacent reels, without a gap. Wilds substitute for ordinary symbols, while Scatters retain their separate bonus role. More visible matching symbols can produce more combinations, but the screen does not pay simply for looking crowded.

An Avalanche replaces symbols included in a winning combination with symbols dropping from above. If the changed screen produces another win, the sequence continues within the same round. The multiplier starts at 1x and rises by one level after an Avalanche. A win is paid at the current level before that increase is applied. This creates a visible ladder during a successful sequence without improving a result that has already been settled.

Free Spins preserve the multiplier

Three Scatters trigger twelve Free Spins, with four additional spins for every extra triggering Scatter. Scatters are counted after the current Avalanche sequence has finished producing wins. That timing matters because the multiplier reached on the triggering round becomes the starting multiplier for the bonus. A developed main-game chain can therefore affect the bonus’s opening position rather than being discarded as soon as the Free Spins screen appears.

During Free Spins, the multiplier no longer resets between spins. Two or more Scatters award at least three extra spins, with another three for each additional Scatter. A Wild also gains a clearing function when the screen has no winning combination: it removes other symbols in its row and column, excluding Scatters, and initiates another Avalanche. This can create new opportunities where an ordinary losing screen would otherwise end the sequence.

Reborn has its own published return

The result is a game with two kinds of persistence: retained multiplier progress and bonus extensions. Neither guarantees that the next changed screen will connect. A Wild clearing event changes positions and creates another Avalanche opportunity; it is not itself a promise of a cash prize. Likewise, an uncapped multiplier progression does not imply an uncapped round payout. The rules impose a separate maximum total bet multiplier of 22,700, at which the round ends.

The current Reborn page and its exact operator rules identify 94.16% RTP and Medium volatility. The rules describe 94.50% for feature buying, where available; that is a separate mode rather than the return for normal paid spins. Older Carnival Queen figures should not replace the Reborn specification. Check the version and mode offered by your casino, especially if a comparison page quotes a higher historical RTP without clearly identifying which release it describes.

Strengths and weak points

Strengths

The triggering round’s multiplier carries into Free Spins, giving the two phases a meaningful connection. Bonus Wild clearing and retained multiplier progress provide distinct ways for a sequence to develop.

Weaknesses

Reborn’s 94.16% normal-play RTP needs attention when comparing older reviews. A developed multiplier still requires subsequent wins, and the round cap applies even though the multiplier ladder itself has no stated upper level.

Our Editor’s View

Carnival Queen Reborn offers a clear reason to watch more than the next symbol drop: the multiplier reached now can remain relevant later in the bonus. Its row-and-column Wild clear adds a second route to continuing the action. That makes the game mechanically coherent, but not automatically generous. Use the Reborn return figures, distinguish feature-buy mode from ordinary play, and remember that retained progress has value only when it meets paying results.
