Bones & Bounty Slot Review: Rules, Features and RTP

Bones & Bounty game artwork by Thunderkick

Bones & Bounty turns its haunted pirate treasure into moving cash symbols. The ordinary reels offer locked Wild stacks, but the Cash Bonus changes the task to keeping arrivals and shifts going. Symbols reaching the Ghost Reel receive its multiplier before returning to a random position. A Persistent Payer can improve other values during that journey, making movement and recycling central to the feature rather than simply filling a static hold-and-win board.

Wild stacks give the base game a respin sequence

Six reels with four rows provide 4,096 pay ways. Monkey Wilds substitute for regular symbols except Bonus icons. Stacked Respin Wilds can arrive on reels two through six in heights of two, three or four. One starts a respin with its stack fixed, and another stack can join it to award another respin. Up to four stacks can be locked at once, while Bonus symbols are collected during the sequence.

Wins are evaluated when the respins finish. This structure gives an established stack more opportunities to combine with other symbols, but it does not make every stack a permanent part of the entire session. The four-stack cap is a feature limit, and the collected Bonus icons serve another purpose: three activate the Cash Bonus. Regular pay-way evaluation and the cash-value game should be read as distinct stages.

Cash arrivals reset the counter and move the board

The Cash Bonus begins with three spins on special reels. Cash Coins carry 1x–10x values, while Multiplier Cash and Persistent Payer symbols carry 1x,2x or 3x. A new symbol of any of these types restores the counter to three and triggers a shift one position to the right. This reset does not add three to whatever remains; continued arrivals are needed to keep the feature alive.

Reel six is the Ghost Reel, whose multiplier starts at 2x. A symbol shifted into it has its value multiplied and returns to a random position. If it lands on an occupied position, the values are added. A Multiplier Cash symbol first raises the Ghost Reel multiplier by its own value, then becomes a regular Cash Coin. Increasing the shared reel modifier and increasing a particular coin are therefore different routes to growth.

Persistent Payers affect other values before recycling

When a Persistent Payer reaches the Ghost Reel, it adds its value to the other values on the board before its own value is multiplied and recycled. That ordering gives the symbol a wider effect than an ordinary coin returning from the same reel. Its name refers to a specific value-building rule, not a guaranteed payout on every subsequent spin. The bonus still ends when its available spins run out without a reset.

At the end, the remaining board values are added and multiplied by the stake to form the award. The official current card lists 96.16% RTP and very high volatility, with a 25,000x stake ceiling confirmed in the detailed rules. Where available, entry costs 100x the bet and has its own stated return setting. A bought feature purchases the three-spin starting process, not a chosen sequence of Payers, recycling positions or resets.

Strengths and weak points

Strengths

Shifting and Ghost Reel recycling give cash symbols more than one role. Persistent Payers improve other values before returning, while Multiplier Cash increases the shared reel modifier through a separate rule.

Weaknesses

New symbols restore the counter to three rather than add three spins. Recycling positions are random, four locked Wild stacks are the limit, and Persistent Payers still need to reach the Ghost Reel.

Our Editor’s View

Bones & Bounty is most distinctive when its cash symbols move. The Ghost Reel modifies and recycles them, Multiplier Cash raises that shared modifier, and Persistent Payers affect the wider board before their own return. Its strength is that these are different ways of developing the same Cash Bonus. Its limitation is dependence on continued arrivals and random recycled placement before the counter expires. It suits readers who enjoy following value changes and resolution order, provided they keep base-game Wild stacks separate from the bonus’s reset, shift and final settlement rules.
