Bass Hunter uses a familiar fishing board but gives missing collectors a second route through Hunter Respins. Fish can be banked when no Fisherman is visible, while Free Spins collect Fishermen towards higher collection multipliers and more spins. The main distinction is between a displayed fish value, a banked total and an actual collection. Seeing a valuable fish is not itself equivalent to receiving that value as a prize.

Fish values need a collector
The standard game has five reels, three rows and ten paylines, with ordinary matching wins evaluated from the left. Cash Fish carry values from 2x to 25x. Jackpot Fish show fixed Mini, Minor, Major or Grand values of 50x, 100x, 250x or 1,000x respectively. These are documented fish awards, not evidence of progressive jackpots growing across a network. Mystery Fish reveal a cash or jackpot value only when a Hunter or Fisherman is present.
A Fisherman collects all visible fish values and also substitutes for regular paying symbols except the Scatter. During the bonus, the current Fisherman meter multiplier modifies collected values before they are added to the win. This collection multiplier has a different role from the regular line system. Fish graphics can be present without a collector, and a Mystery Fish does not promise the largest fixed jackpot when it eventually reveals.
Hunter Respins bank an opportunity before collection
A Hunter fish symbol can randomly appear when fish are visible but no Fisherman is present. It banks their values and starts respins. Scatters remain sticky during that feature, and ordinary line wins continue to pay. Respins run until no new fish appears or a Fisherman arrives. If the Fisherman arrives, it collects the banked total together with fish values currently on the reels.
The sequence offers another opportunity for values that initially lacked a collector, but it is not a guaranteed collection. It can finish because no new fish arrives before the needed Fisherman appears. Banking a number and paying that number are therefore separate states, just as a sticky Scatter can remain relevant to bonus entry without acting as the Fisherman. That conditional endpoint is the practical limit of the Hunter idea.
Four Fishermen advance the bonus meter
Three, four or five Scatters trigger ten, fifteen or twenty Free Spins. During the feature, Fisherman symbols accumulate in a meter. Each set of four advances it one level, awards five more spins and raises the collection multiplier through 2x, 3x and then 5x. These are collection milestones, not increases automatically awarded merely because the player has used another four spins.
Optional Hunter Bet costs 10x the stake and makes the Hunter active whenever at least one fish is visible. Where offered, ordinary bonus entry costs 80x, while Hunter Spins entry costs 250x. These are different access conditions and prices, not guaranteed returns. The current official card lists 94.19% RTP and medium volatility; inconsistent figures in supplementary prose are not substituted for those settings. The stated overall ceiling is 5,000x the stake.
Strengths and weak points
Strengths
Hunter Respins provide a defined second opportunity when fish appear without a Fisherman. Four-Fisherman bonus milestones link an increased collection multiplier with a clear five-spin extension.
Weaknesses
Hunter Respins can end before a Fisherman collects the bank. Mystery values require a Hunter or Fisherman to reveal, and optional Hunter access adds substantial cost without guaranteeing collection.
Our Editor’s View
Bass Hunter is easiest to assess by following the value from fish symbol to bank and finally to a Fisherman collection. Its strongest contribution is the conditional Hunter sequence, while the bonus meter gives repeated Fisherman arrivals a separate progression role. Its limitation is that neither a displayed prize nor a banked total guarantees the required collector before the sequence ends. Readers who enjoy fish-value collection may find that structure familiar and legible, but should compare the standard, Hunter Bet and Hunter Spins costs without treating access to the feature as an assured payout.
